She Reads Book Club NYC was founded in 2022, by two women of color that desired a nurturing environment for women to share their love for literature and discuss their perspectives collectively as one.

The purpose of this book club is to bring a likelihood for the minds of knowledgeable, insightful and ambitious black women together to learn about issues and discuss something that matters to them in which they can relate to in black literature.

She Reads Book Club encourages critical thinking and deeper engagement with stories, alongside promoting sisterhood, by increasing representation and providing space for us to honor black authors.

This Bookclub is a great place for dialogue and also a significant place for all women of different backgrounds and experiences to network and bond.
