Being a Pharmacy Technician keeps me on my toes, but my love for books keeps me leveled and that’s why I decided to join She Reads Bookclub NYC to keep up my hobby of reading motivational and self help books.
My favorite place to read is at work, hence as to why I love audio books.
“The New Jim Crow” by Michelle Alexander has left the most lasting impression on me because I learned more about black history in one book than I did in a lifetime.
It really opened my eyes to racial disparities, especially within the prison system.
If there was a book written about my life I would title it
”If You Only Knew”
A fun fact about me that people wouldn’t know is that although I’m in the medical field, I’m also a self sufficient cosmetologist that makes her own wigs and is well versed with beauty. “
